“I have been in the field of recruitment for over 12 yrs and, it’s been 2 yrs in Diageo. We at Diageo are into Tech, KPO and also Data Analytics. Our Analytics unit is internal and it is mainly into three divisions- Big data, BI, & Analytics. Talking about the talent pool in India, getting a diverse talent is a challenge. Diversity is always a challenge in newly growing organization for the niche skills. We particularly look for individuals with good communication skills, attitude and good technical skills too. Taking an example of a role of Data Scientist, we look for individuals who are into Machine Learning, having a good grip in Python, R Programming and Algorithms. Even an individual without an engineering background can work wonders in the field of analytics having good experience and knowledge into Mathematics and Statistics. Head hunting is a tedious task but we make sure we get the right people on our platform”.
